Senior Project Engineer (Electrical/Control)

$120k - $140k (inc. Super) + Bonus

You will be working on multi-disciplinary projects for a primarily mechanical engineering company designing, building and maintaining critical fluid systems. Whilst part of your role will be to provide oversight, review and approval of electrical and control system designs, you also need to have systems engineering, project management and documentation skills, which are transferable to non-electrical aspects of projects. Your work will compliment an inclusive small team of engineers and technicians working on bespoke projects.
Skills and experience
* Degree qualified in Electrical or Mechatronics (recognised by Engineers Australia)
* Additional Technical qualifications (desirable)
* Minimum 7 years of industry experience
* Ability to sign off designs which meet safety and regulatory standards
* Ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects
* 3 phase and single-phase power
* Specify and design Hardwired and PLC control systems including Modbus TCP comms and SCADA
* Highly detailed documentation to support tendering and project process
* Calculations, including for LV systems
* Experienced in Risk assessments, HAZOPs etc.
The following skills will be an advantage but not essential:
* Hands on practical knowledge and capability
* Hazardous area knowledge
* SIL system knowledge
* Testing and ITP knowledge
* Estimating and procurement
This role is fully flexible, offering the option to work from home
